Rules
- All entrants must be female (born female) aged 18- 27 years old on 30th April 2010.
- All entrants must be a member of a registered Cheerleading Team/Squad in the Great Britian.
- Applicants are only allowed to enter for themselves and cannot enter for, or be entered by, family and friends.
- Applications deadline: 5th January 2010 .
- Notification of finalists will be 8th January 2010. 60 entrants will be selected. 50 places will be chosen by the judges based on the applications submitted. 10 places will be awarded to those girls who have raised the most funds for our chosen charity, the Joshua Foundation.
- From Monday 11th January 2010 until Mid March. Voting lines will be open for the Finalists.
- All contestants selected to represent their club will be notified by email on 8th January 2010 and must acknowledge their intention to attend the final. Should they be unable to attend the organisers can select another contestant.
- All finalists must confirm in writing their intention to attend the final.
- All finalists are required to obtain a corporate sponsor to the value of £100. These funds must be paid to the organisers no later than 10th March 2010 with all funds going to the Joshua Foundation. All corporate sponsors will receive advertising in the official Miss CheerleaderGB programme. They will also receive 2 free tickets to the final.
- Contestants must acknowledge that all costs relating to attending the Final is their own responsibility.
- Contestants must abide by the rules relating to the suitability of all materials posted on their profile and the organisers reserve the right to amend details if appropriate.
- All entrants must be of good character and standing and must be free from criminal conviction, save for minor offences such as road traffic offences. Should it become known to the organisers that an entrant has been found guilty of such offences this entrant will be withdrawn.
- During the Final, the contestants must act in a reasonable manner, conducting themselves in a professional manner. All contestants are responsible for the behaviour of their supporters and must ensure they behave in a proper manner.
- The Final will take place at a venue chosen by the organisers and all contestants are required to abide by the rules laid down by the organisers and the health and safety rules appropriate to the venue.
- All contestants must make themselves available on the day of the final all day for preparation and failure to attend the whole day will forfeit your place.
- All contestants must agree to being filmed during the Final and all rights to these video’s or photographs taken remain the property of the organisers.
- If any funds paid to the events chosen charity, the Joshua Foundation are not honoured you will be expected to make good these funds before proceeding to a next stage. Should this not occur your place in the competition will be jeopardised.
- The Miss CheerleaderGB winner must make themself available, where reasonable for the purposes of the promotion of the competition. The organisers will reimburse reasonable travel costs for this.
- The winner of Miss CheerleaderGB will not give any interviews, or endorsements without the written permission of the organiser.
- The winner of Miss CheerleaderGB will proceed to the final of the Miss UniverseGB competition 2010 and the organisers will cover reasonable travel costs for the winner only.
- The winner is expected to then comply with all the rules of the organisers of the Miss UniverseGB competition. All rights relating to any media activities belong to the organiser.
- Failure to comply with any terms and conditions or rules or regulations will result in the contestant/contestants being expelled from the competition regardless of the stage of the competition and any votes will be lost.
- The organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and regulations at any time.
- Prizes may be substituted at any time prior to the Final.
- The Organiser cannot be held responsible for any injury or loss or damage to any contestant or their property.
- Where judging occurs in the Final, the scores will be overseen by an Independent Adjudicator. The decision of the Judges and the Adjudicators will be final.
Definitions
- An entrant is a person who has submitted a valid and full application for Miss CheerleaderGB.
- A contestant is those chosen for the Final.
- The Organiser – this means The Joshua Foundation
